Build, then stay.
Launch is a mark on the page. It is not the last mark.
A launch feels like an ending because the calendar says so. The people using the product have not read your calendar.
The first version teaches you where you were wrong. That is the useful part. A studio that leaves at the announcement has only done the portion of the work that photographs well.
We stay through the awkward middle. The flow that looked obvious in a prototype and is not. The sentence in the interface that nobody understands. The engineering that needs to be quieter so the product can get louder later.
Beyond is not a retainer dressed up as a philosophy. It is the admission that a digital product is a practice. You keep making it, or it starts to unmake itself.
If you want a team that ships and disappears, there are many. If you want the page to keep getting better after it is no longer blank, start here.
